"The Akari Energy team was professional, infor-mative, and thorough.  The energy audit that was conducted for us provided a clear and concise analysis of our home's energy efficiency.  The Akari representatives went beyond simply providing an in-depth analysis; they gave us some great tips on how to make improvements.  We completed some of the improvements and immediately noticed results.  I'd definitely recommend Akari to anyone looking for a best-in-class experi-ence.

Team Akari rides in the 2010 MS150 to help raise funds for multiple sclerosis research.
Akari Energy has formed its first cycling team to participate in the MS150 on April 17-18, 2010, a fund raising bike ride that stretches from Houston to Austin and is organized by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  According to the National MS Society, "it's the largest non-profit event of its kind in North America with more than 13,000 registered cyclists, 3000 volunteers and countless supporters and spectators."  In 2009 alone, $17 million in funds were raised from the bike ride for MS research and services for persons living with MS.  Team Akari is proud and excited to partake in the MS150 experience!

Akari Energy Desk Giveaway.  Akari Energy's most recent community relation efforts include awarding three computer desks to three individuals or organizations, who will in turn award them to financially disadvantaged families.

Our first individual receiving the desk is Gopal Timsina, a 17-year old refugee from Nepal.  Frank Molina helped Gopal and his younger brother assemble the desk.  Gopal, pictured above with his family, is originally from Bhutan a country in the Asian continent.  Gopal is the breadwinner of his family because both his parents suffer from health ailments that prevent them from working.

Akari Energy also donated a desk as one of the giveaways in the "Happy, Healthy and Ready to Learn Northside Health and Resource Fair," organized primarily by State Representative Jessica Farrar and the Northside Fair and Resource committee.   Esmeralda Bueno and her four children were the recipients of the desk at the fair.  Lourdes Aguinaco happily assembled the desk for her and her family.

Another of the three organizations is Skills for living (S4L), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2004.  Their organizational goal is to permanently advance the lives of low-income working poor families in the Houston area.
